I haven't updated this site in a week so I decided to add a couple more old posts! I hope you enjoy! Now for a more recent update.
My job has been just as whiplash inducing as ever. Friday, Saturday, and Monday were geniunely awful. 10 to 12 hour long days being down upwards of 5 routes. Horrific. Then yesterday and today were actually really easy. Yesterday I literally got of at 10am. I worked 3 hours. I just want something more consistant and less draining, y'know.
As for what I did with my extra time yesterday and today, not much. Even when I have time off I have no use for it. I keep thinking about just biting the bullet and putting my two weeks in now, but I keep pussying out. At least with college coming up I know I have a hard out so I can't procrastinate forever.
I've been catching up with old friends lately which is good. I think I'm actually finally going to get to see one on Friday since I have it off for Juneteenth. He's going to the same university I am so I'm hoping to see a lot more of him soon.
I went for a walk in the woods on Sunday and got bitten by a shit ton of ticks. I've never really worried that much about them but last night I kind of sent myself into a spiral thinking I'm going to catch lyme disease.
Lawrence has been in the news lately for hosting the Algerian team for the World Cup. It's been cool to see everyone uplifting our town as some vestige of hope in the darkness of modern american culture. I'm not so sure that's the case but the sentiment is cool.
I tried to go to some watch party festival event thing yesterday afternoon for one of the matches but it wasn't really my jam so I ended up just walking towards the river and chilling for a bit while I read my book and listened to music. Two songs I've been really into lately are Let it Go by Peter Broderick and Praise Kink by Touching Ice .
While I was walking around I saw someone in a coffee shop window who I recognized but I wasn't sure where from at first. I soon realized that she's in this local band I saw once when I first moved here. She saw me looking at her it was kind of awkward. I just hate that feeling when I know that I know someone but I can't remember where from.
